Living Healthy
We have all heard about healthy living at some point in time. It is aterm that pops up wherever you look: newspapers, magazines, books, TV,the Internet and every other type of media imaginable. As a topic, itssuccess is due to the fact that many people are genuinely interested inimproving their health. The World Health assembly has defined it asbeing “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being andnot merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. This statement hasnot been modified since 1948. But, how can we achieve such a state?
As human beings we have the unique opportunity of choosing how tomaintain our own health. There are four main aspects that we cancontrol. These are nutrition, exercise, hygiene and stressmanagement. Many of us can mention a friend or an acquaintance thatalways seems to be in perfect health. Upon closer inspection, theobservation is made that they have put to full use those aspects oftheir health that are under their influence and in return have reapedthe rewards.
What we choose to eat is arguably one of the easiest things we cancontrol. Even as a baby, a child will let their parent know if theyenjoy their meal or find it highly disagreeable. Much of theconventional food on the market contains salt, sugar, fat andartificial ingredients. Living foods are as nature intended. They areunaltered by excessive heat or chemical treatments. They are pure,healthy choices that are welcomed by the body as being simple todigest. Does it not make sense to choose food that will promotestrength and vitality?
